Clare Bland RVN Veterinary Nurse

I have had the pleasure of working at Glaven Vets since 2005, I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2008 and have since gained a Certificate in Feline Nursing and after an additional two years of study, achieved Advanced Certificate in Feline Behaviour. I love working as part of a team and interacting with clients face to face, especially nurse consults. However, the overall wellbeing and health of all animals is important to me.

I also work as one of the practice clinical supervisors supporting trainee nurses through their training.

My passion is cats and I am the cat friendly advocate for the practice. This has enabled me to specialise in my favorite area of nursing supporting our feline patients and offering advice to clients with behavioural issues such as cat conflict, house moves and inappropriate urination. I am proud that the practice was awarded ISFM Cat Friendly silver status in 2024.

I have lived in Norfolk all my life, apart from a three-year stint living in Cyprus with my family where I assisted with caring for military dogs. I live with my husband and 2 gorgeous boys; I have two rescue cats from Cyprus, who I hand reared when they were abandoned.

When I get a spare moment, I enjoy running which started later in life and entering road and trail competitions locally.
