Katie Long

Katie joined us in 2021, as an Animal Nursing Assistant ANA, her role within the practice is to support the nurses with preparing patients for surgery, preparing and sterilising surgical instruments, performing in-house lab tests, sending samples to our external lab, positioning patients for intravenous catheter placements, blood samples, and ultrasound scans.

They also assist the nurses in the hospital by providing nursing care to patients, and they ensure the clinical environment is safe and hygienic for our patients.

Katie is also responsible for managing our lab, ensuring the machines are regularly maintained, and monitoring stock levels.

Outside of work Katie has a special interest in Rabbit welfare and owns her own bunny, Grace.
